Good news for Spotify users, as their tunes can now be played  on Amazon Echo, a wireless, voice-controlled home speaker.

The new feature will be available to premium users of Spotify who can request Amazon Echo’s virtual assistant, Alexa, to play music from their Spotify account.

Spotify has 20 million paying listeners, and considering that it’s a great move by Amazon.

Apart from Spotify Amazon Echo already is available with iHearRadio, Prime Music, TuneIn, and Pandora.

Amazon Echo is a cylinder-shaped, voice-controlled speaker that comes with a remote. It’s available for $179 from Amazon. Apart from playing music, it will let you access online music libraries, search Wikipedia and even inform you about weather.
