One swede and two Austrians were wounded as suspected ISIS militants attacked the tourists at Egyptian Red Sea resort hotel located in Hurghada.

Wilhelm Weisslein and Renata, both aged 72, while the other one, Sammie Olovsson 27, were all declared stable according to the Egyptian hospital.

The attackers were apparently members of ISIS, who were seen posing with the ISIS flag. They claimed that their purpose was to kidnap tourists, according to BBC officials.

The father of the Swedish 27-year-old told that the family was having dinner when the assailants entered and stabbed his son.

This is the latest attempt by ISIS to destroy tourism that is an important source of funding for the country’s economy.

Red Sea had been incident-free for most of the time since the Sharm el-Sheikh attacks in 2005 that killed 88 people.
