The holiday season is in full swing.

At least at our house.

From the first time we light a fire to take the chill off in October, straight through New Year’s Day we’re in holiday mode. And for as long as I can remember, those holidays pretty much revolved around the little people in our lives.

So while we never do scary at our house, we do so love a kid friendly Halloween!

***Stay till the end of this post for a GIVEAWAY!***

Mike and I have 5 grandchildren and a large assortment of ittie-bitties belonging to extended family and friends. Every year for the past 12 years we’ve been throwing a Fall Party. At first we focused on a pumpkin carving contest for our mostly-grown kids and nieces and nephews. But when those mostly-grown kids started having kids of their own, we changed to more of a kid friendly Halloween party.Kid Friendly Halloween

And with those little princesses, lions, super-heros and fairy tale characters dressed for trick-or-treat, we like to put together a “photo-op” area!

This year my friends from Balsam Hill graciously sent me a bunch of bewitching, yet kid friendly Halloween decorations to greet our guests and create the perfect backdrop for capturing those memories…

Kid Friendly HalloweenIt’s easy to create a little space for memory – keeping. A photo of the kiddos dressed in their Halloween best are great keepsakes and a reminder that little ones grow up so fast.

Time flies…

In addition to getting some great photos, consider a few games, a piñata or even an easy craft for the little people…
