July is National Ice Cream Month and that means homemade ice cream, milkshakes, popsicles, and ice cream pies! Such a delicious month! I love making homemade ice cream and frozen treats. And everyone LOVES eating them in the middle of the summer heat! How do you like your homemade ice cream? Do you make the no-churn kind with heavy cream and sweetened condensed milk? Or do you prefer the creaminess of an egg based custard ice cream that takes a little more effort? Do you make a creme anglaise base first and then add your fruit and flavors to it in your ice cream maker?? Me, personally, I love the creaminess of using an ice cream maker over a no churn method. It’s all about the mouth-feel to me. Let me know what you enjoy making.
